Bulletproof Your Marriage Couples Retreat

Wow!  This weekend we had our first Bulletproof Your Marriage Couples Retreat.  It was amazing.

We conducted it in a very intimate setting here at Bridgeport Lake Bed and Breakfast, with only 2 couples invited.  In preparation, each couple completed 2 types of personality assessments; the Rembrandt Portrait (which measures innate personality characteristics) and the MBTI (which measures behavioral preferences).

Each couple received a written report on their Rembrandt Portrait results showing them their individual strengths and areas to work on and their strengths as a couple and what they can do to improve the relationship.

Our couples thoroughly enjoyed the event.   We started off with dinner on Friday night and then worked until about 8:30 or 9:00.  Each couple had a room at the B&B.  Saturday morning we had breakfast and started in again, breaking for lunch and finishing up around 6:00 p.m.

First Marriage Grp Small.

Here are their comments:

1.  “Thank you for a life changing experience that will benefit us through eternity.  We are better people and our relationship is only stronger for the things y’all shared with us.  Y’all have a beautiful and welcoming presence and home.  Thank you so, so much for everything.  (including the delicious food)
2.  “Can’t rave enough on how great, wonderful, amazing everything was.  The marriage retreat was so worthwhile.  Our relationship will be so improved from the experience.  Now about the food – absolutely the Best!!!
Our couples ranged in age from their early 30’s to early grandparents, and from being married 3 years to being married 37 years.    In their words, the event was ‘priceless’.
Here is a taste of some of the content of the retreat:
A.  Communication from various aspects:
  1.  Individual strengths in the marriage, from your own perspective and your partner’s perspective
  2.  Gender differences in communication
  3.  Innate communication strengths and weaknesses
  4.  Personality type preferences in communication
B.  Keeping the Love alive
C.  Commitment
D.  Goal Setting (including Vision Boards)
and more
Each couple left with an Action plan of how they will utilize the knowledge they gained.
If your marriage is going through some challenges, if your communication is not what it once was, if you are struggling to feel the love you once felt for each other, then this retreat is for you.
We are in the planning stages now for our next retreat which will probably be in August.  This will be a larger event with up to 10 couples.  Still small enough to be intimate but large enough to benefit from the experiences of others as well.
If you are interested in getting on the list for an upcoming retreat, let me know in the comments section.
Thanks for spending a little time with me.  Have an awesome day!!!

Very cool! It looks like the event was a smash hit. Coming away with an action plan is priceless. I look forward to “hearing” the comments from the next group that attends the Couples Retreat. This is an awesome service you are providing to couples. Keep up the good work.

    • Thank you so much. The events have been tremendously powerful for us and the participants. We are very excited about the next one and the opportunity to help more couples.
